Christians struggle with trauma just as folks “in the world” do. Just because we accepted Christ as our Savior doesn’t mean we will be a new person immediately. Many Christians still have a long way to go to believe they are a “new creation in Christ.” A’nesis Trauma Resolution program helps!
The definition of trauma is: (1) I was blind-sided (2) I felt out of control (3) There was no one to talk to. It is amazing how even one traumatic event from our childhood can cause one to go through “the revolving door” of feeling like we are right back in that situation without realizing the source of the overwhelming sensation. Renewing our minds can become a labor-intensive process when past trauma from our childhood rears its ugly head.
Some symptoms you may be held captive by past trauma are:
- Inability to bond in close relationships (love = terror)
- Inability to regulate emotions (over or under regulation)
- Emotionally “spacing out” — freezing in emotional settings
- Circular thoughts — inability to bring thoughts back to peace by renewing the mind with Scripture
A’nesis Counseling has developed a five-day intensive format for helping you break free from childhood trauma. By using Christian mind-body techniques that are Scripturally sound, healing prayers and breaking enemy agreements and generational strongholds, you too can realize you ARE a “new creation in Christ.”
